Win Jason Platos WTCC overalls

AT AUTOSPORT INTERNATIONAL

If you love motorsport, don’t miss this once in a lifetime chance to win Jason Plato’s very own SEAT Sport UK racing overalls he wore in three rounds of this year’s FIA World Touring Car Championships. Plato clinched second place behind team-mate Rickard Rydell at Silverstone and also wore this unique set at Mexico and Spa.

All you have to do to qualify for this fabulous prize is book your tickets in advance for the world’s leading motorsport show, Autosport International at the NEC, Birmingham, on Saturday 14 or Sunday 15 January 2006. You can do this either by phoning the hotline 0870 380 2244 or going online to autosport-international.com. But you must book your tickets BEFORE Wednesday 14 December 2005 to be in with a chance of your name being drawn at random. The winner will be chosen and notified before Christmas.

But it does not stop there! The top prizewinner can bring a friend and enjoy a VIP day at the show, which includes the official presentation of Jason’s overalls by the man himself on the Autosport Central Stage on Sunday 15 January. The rest of the day can be enjoyed with chances of meeting stars and getting close to the cars from Formula One, World Rallying, Touring Cars and karts.

Commenting on the show, Jason said: “The Autosport Show is a great opportunity for me to meet my friends from across the spectrum of motorsport and chat with my fans. There’s always so much to see and do, away from the circuit this is as close as you can get to racing out of the season."

More than one million square feet will be teeming with all things motorsport including a unique F1 Racing Car Gallery with the entire grid displayed in steel cradles at 90 degrees plus an authentic F1 winner's podium with the traditional chequered background. Here you can live out every fan’s dream of standing on the top of the rostrum with champagne and a trophy and have your photograph taken for posterity.

The 100 years of Grand Prix Racing extravaganza, presented by the Donington Grand Prix Collection, will be showcased in the Historic Hall with over 1,000m² of space dedicated to celebrating the 100th anniversary of the first Grand Prix in France. The mouth-watering display of some of the greatest racing cars ever built will provide visitors with a selection of over 25 championship and race winning cars, stretching from the early 1900s right through to the last race of the 2005 season in China.

Remarkably, Autosport International will be the very first time these magnificent machines have ever been showcased together outside the Donington Grand Prix Collection, located at Donington Park, a circuit which celebrates the 75th anniversary of its first race in 2006.

And for those of you who want an experience of a lifetime, hold onto your seats as the lights are dimmed for the 45-minute adrenaline-rush, all-action, tyre-burning sensation in the awesome Live Action Arena, hosted by ITV F1’s Louise Goodman, in association with Fulda Tyres. It promises to be bigger and better than ever before. The 4,500 seater unique indoor arena, constructed solely for the duration of the show, will now be increased by a staggering 1,000 additional seats.

Amongst the most unbelievable array of cars, drivers and stunts will be two of the Scuderia Ecosse Ferrari 360 GTC’s, driven by British GT Champions Andrew Kirkaldy and Nathan Kinch. To accommodate this amazing 45-minute all action performance, which takes place fives times each day on Saturday and Sunday, even the track has had to be made bigger.

If watching the Live Action Arena performance makes you want to get behind the wheel, you can learn how to start racing in the Karting Area or put your pedal to the metal on the purpose built Karting Oxford indoor karting track. No matter what your age or budget, you can find out how to get started at any level to enjoy the thrills and spills of karting.

You can avoid the queues and book online now at autosport-international.com for tickets to the show, which include entrance to the Live Action Arena at £25.00 for adults and £17.50 for children, or by calling the ticket hotline on 0870 380 2244.

Brand new for 2006 is an exclusive Paddock Pass ticket available at £31. This special pass gives holders access to the new paddock area built backstage in the Live Action Arena where you can get up close to the cars and talk to the drivers. You will also get fast-track entry and priority seating in the Live Action Arena plus the opportunity to watch extra performances from the sidelines.
