Farécla-backed EuropeanMotorSport Jaguar wins the 2005 JEC National Jaguar Saloon CategoryTitle.
Farécla has congratulated Simon Lewis of EuropeanMotorSport on winning Class B of the JEC National Jaguar Saloon Challenge in his Jaguar XJ6.
The Farécla-supported driver secured the title with a second place at the final round of the series at Croft, in Yorkshire. With team mate Jim Shea winning the class in the first round of the weekend to finish third in the category for the season and EuropeanMotorSport's Howard Kirkham taking fourth in Class B for 2005 it was most certainly a successful finale to the Farécla-sponsored team's championship season,
"Farecla's support of the EuropeanMotorSport Team marks our first foray into Motor Sport sponsorship on anything more than a one-off basis. We are obviously very pleased to have linked up with such a successful outfit, and are delighted to offer Simon, Jim, Howard and the rest of the team our warmest congratulations," remarked Farécla MD Andy Ducker. "Our motorsport programme is, however, about much more than simply raising trade and public awareness of the brand and its products. Farécla is committed to a heavy research and development programme across both its trade and car care ranges and we know, from the feedback, that EuropeanMotorSport have used our products to great effect."
For more than fifty years Farécla has established itself in automotive bodyshops, worldwide as being the leading force in surface refinishing materials. The company recently entered the car care market and is currently developing an exceptional range of products, many of which use ground-breaking Nanotechnology to deliver outstanding performance and unrivalled durability. The first two such products fall under Farécla's Glass Care range and the EuropeanMotorSport Drivers have had the opportunity to benefit from them throughout the year.
"Racing in Britain brings with it one certainty - which is that you will encounter every sort of weather condition out on the track, sometimes in the course of a single race! Farécla's support has enabled us to use their excellent car care products - and in particular their Glass Care range," added newly-crowned Champion, Simon Lewis. "Racing really tests everything to the limits and it can't be stressed how important good visibility is when you're racing in poor conditions. Farécla's Rain Repellent and Anti-Mist have proved their worth time and again."
Farécla has also used the Classic Car racing as a platform to extend its reach into the automotive enthusiast sector through a number of different promotional and marketing initiatives. These have ranged from trade and consumer press advertising and PR, through track-based product displays and leaflet drops to Farécla stands at Car Club events and even a series of Farécla awards for JEC racing class winners.
"Having Farécla on the cars all year has created a real buzz of interest," further remarked EMS's Jim Shea. "It has not been uncommon for people around the paddock to talk to us about how they've known and used Farécla products successfully for years."
With the Jaguar Championship now won, Farécla's involvement in the race series has been further boosted by the news that renowned model makers, Corgi, are going to be reproducing the EMS cars in miniature in the New Year - complete with Farécla branding.
