NEW TRACK RECORD FOR FABIO ONIDI (MINARDI / GP RACING)
The second day of Formula 3000 test in Magione ended with a new track record, by rookie Fabio Onidi. The 20 year old from Milan, who was 2006 champion in the English Formula Renault Rookie Championship and drove this year in F. Renaut Eurocup and NEC series. He recorded an impressive time of 1'02"470.
Team mate Luiz Razia, who took part in the 2007 Euroseries 3000, was not far away.
The Sebastiani twins were able to improve Tuesday's lap times by more than one second, confirming the competitiveness of It Loox Racing Team - which made its debut in the category in testing.
Valentino was faster than his brother ending in third while Niky was fifth.
A good performances from Vice-champion of Italian Formula 3, Sicilian Efisio Marchese (Elk Motorsport) and for the 18 year old Swiss Natacha Gachnang (Traini Corse), both having their first experience with F.3000.
Brazilian Beretta Jr.. (Elk) improved his performance although he could only complete a few laps due to a technical problem. He will remain in Magione today, as did Spanish Formula 3 champion, Maximo Cortes.
