Invitations have been sent to many Classic groups to take part in this meeting and the Class structure has been retained from last year to avoid handicap classes at this event.
*August 16th/17th*This is the second British and Leaders Championship meeting of the year and the final Shelsley round of the Midland Championship. Supporting championship is the Paul Matty Lotus Championship. This meeting will include themed demonstrations and competitive classes to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of local driver Peter Collins who was tragically killed at the Nurburgring in 1958. *Calendar note:*This calendar slightly extends the Shelsley season in 2008 by starting one week earlier and finishing 2 weeks later than the norm. This is to avoid bunching between events and to even out the Midland Championship dates through the season.
