Draft Calendar Sees Porsche Series Continue To Offer Quality Racing

Draft 2008 calendars have been issued for the Porsche Open and Porsche Club Championship, and, building on the success of 2007, the two series will again feature on the bill at some high-profile race meetings. In May 2008 the two series are planned to combine and support the visit of the A1GP series to Brands Hatch, and also at Silverstone's Classic Festival and Britcar 24-Hours meetings to provide fields of over 40-cars and great race action. The season finale will be at Sa-Francorchamps in Belgium in October, the famous Grand Prix circuit again seeing both series share the track.

The season is currently scheduled to kick off at Donington Park in March, with a total of nine meetings taking in most major UK circuits. Each meeting will feature both championships - other than Castle Combe in August that will be for the Club championship only - and the Porsche Open will once more feature a number of one-hour races. A key feature of any Porsche Open season is the Bill Taylor Memorial race, which will take place at Brands Hatch in August.
