Jeremy Enters The Big Brother House

19-year-old Jeremy Metcalfe entered the world-famous Big Brother house at Elstree studios in Borehamwood last night; the exceptional motor racing sensation revealed as one of the housemates for the brand new reality TV series Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack.Identified by the Big Brother production team at Endemol as one of Britain’s most gifted young individuals due to his prowess on the country’s race tracks, Fleet-based Jeremy forms part of a line-up of talented 18 to 21 year olds from fields as diverse as sport, music, fashion design, politics and entrepreneurialism.Having achieved mass appeal over the last eight seasons as one of the country’s most viewed programmes, the latest incarnation of the phenomenally successful format sees the gifted youngsters not only living under the watchful eye of Big Brother, they will also be at the mercy of an assortment of celebrities who will ‘hijack’ the house.Jeremy’s involvement in the first ever series of Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack comes as the multiple Formula Renault UK race winner and former national and international karting champion looks set to make the transition from single-seater racing to sportscar competition in 2008, potentially at the wheel of a Ferrari 430 GT car. It’s going to be awesome.”Breaking new ground for national motorsport by appearing on the incredibly popular reality TV show, Jeremy’s life in the Big Brother house over the next month will be broadcast daily on Freeview, cable and digital satellite channel E4 – tonight’s first show was also screened live on Channel 4.Presented by Dermot O’Leary, the main Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack show (including all evictions) will be broadcast each evening at 21.00 on E4. O’Leary will also continue to host Big Brother’s Little Brother each weekday on E4 at 19.30 and on Sunday’s at 19.00.Big Brother’s Big Mouth will also return at 22.00 from Monday to Thursday and at 22.30 on Fridays.
