Kieren Clark, the 19 year old Cambridge based youngster, has signed to race with Loughborough’s Apotex Scorpio Motorsport team for this years Formula Renault UK Championships, which supports the hugely popular MSA British Touring Car Championship weekends.
Having risen through the ranks of karting, stepping into the shoes of some of the hottest drivers in Formula 1 at the moment, Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Raikkonen, and Heikki Kovalainen, is a task the future star cant wait to get started. The prestigious Formula Renault UK championship is a serious step towards the top level of motorsport, and following the media success of the 2007 BTCC events, will certain to be played out in front of capacity crowds and a high media profile.The Loughborough based Apotex Scorpio Motorsport team completed a highly successful 2007 season in the Formula Renault UK series, as 3rd highest points scoring entrants and their number 1 driver, “BRDC Rising Star” Will Bratt, finishing 3rd overall in the drivers championship.
KC commented “its great to have a team of Apotex Scorpio’s experience behind me, we learnt a lot working with them during the winter series and will be looking to put that into effect during the 2008 season.”
