ROCKINGHAM ANNOUNCES STRONG LINE-UP FOR 2008 MOTOR RACING SEASON
ROCKINGHAM’S exciting motor racing line-up for the forthcoming season builds on a great 2007, which included a number of high-profile events.
Last year the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) and the BritishF3 and GT series made successful returns to the Northamptonshire circuit, to the delight of the fans.
The HQi MSA British Touring Car Championship will once again provide the curtain-raiser to Rockingham’s 2008 season when it returns to the circuit for the second consecutive year on April 12/13.
The UK’s most prestigious championship will host rounds four, five and six at Rockingham, and promises to be a weekend of high drama, non-stop action and exhilarating entertainment for all the family.
Following its successful season finale in 2007, The Lloyds TSB Insurance British F3 International Series and Avon Tyres British GT Championship will be at Rockingham earlier in the year.
The circuit will host the third of the eight-meeting racing series over the Bank Holiday weekend of May 25/26, which will feature some of Europe’s best future talent.
In addition there will be a number of smaller - but equally as entertaining - events throughout the season, including a British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) race meeting featuring the very competitive purpose-built 230bhp pickup trucks over the weekend of April 19/20.
The Classic Sports Car Club is bringing a great line-up of races to Rockingham on the weekend of June 7/8. This fantastic series guarantees plenty of excitement for new and old spectators alike.
The British Racing and Sports Car Club (BRSCC) will host an event on July 12/13, which will include a superb selection of the very best of saloon car racing including pickup trucks, Alfa Romeos, Euro saloons and Mini Miglias.
The Dunlop Great & British Motorsport Festival on September 27/28 will be a fantastic day out for all the family with plenty of action from start to finish.
During each race weekend there will be plenty of opportunity to get close to the racing action with an open paddock and free grandstand seats for everyone. There will also be a range of attractions for all the family to enjoy and children 15 & under will get in free to all events.

Following the success of the fourth Rockingham Stages rally in December, the circuit is proud to continue its support and association with rally clubs.
The enede.com Emerald Stages Rally, organised by London Irish Motor Club, will be held at Rockingham on Saturday, February 16, while the fifth Rockingham Stages rally has been confirmed for the weekend of December 13/14.
