12 HOURS OF SEBRING – AN ENDURANCE CLASSICThe Le Mans 24 Hours has inspired two endurance series who borrow the Le Mans stamp; the ALMS (American Le Mans Series) and LMS (Le Mans Series).
Traditionally the endurance racing season gets underway with the ALMS’ opening event, the 12 Hours of Sebring. Since 1952 this legendary Florida-based race has brought together all of the main protagonists who are targeting Le Mans 24 Hours glory. With eight consecutive victories, Audi are the Sebring veterans, but this year they might not have things all their own way following Peugeots decision to enter the race. This will be the two manufacturer giants’ first meeting since Le Mans last year and Motors TV will be there to bring 13 hours of LIVE non-stop coverage. This year Sebring is a motorsport spectacle not to be missed on the ‘High Speed Television’ channel.

The Daytona 200, which uses part of the International Speedway’s banked oval, is the climax of Daytona Beach’s ‘bike week’, Motors TV have featured the race for the past five years as part of its coverage of the AMA American Bike Championships and continue to do so in ’08.
Daytona 200, Saturday 08 March, from 19:00.INSIDE GP: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT F1March 16 will see Melbourne host the opening Grand Prix of an eagerly anticipated 2008 Formula One World Championship. There is much to anticipate this year, especially for Lewis Hamilton who will be determined to make up for last year’s end-of-season heartbreak. He’ll face fierce competition however, with Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen determined to defend his crown, Fernando Alonso back in the familiar surroundings at Renault and a fiercely talented McLaren team mate in Heikki Kovalainen. Elsewhere, Nelson Piquet Jr (Renault) and Sebastien Bourdais (Toro Rosso) make their eagerly anticipated F1 debuts.
The good news is that Motors TV is starting a new season of Inside GP, with the 26 minute programme showing on Tuesdays before each race. Inside GP offers a thorough preview of each round with exclusive reports, drivers’ profiles, archives and incredible 3D modelling of each track. Not-to-be-missed by F1 fans!

Adelaide hosted round 1 in February and now Australia’s most popular racing series heads to West Sydney and the Eastern Creek International Raceway. In last year’s race Mark Skaife broke the legendary Peter Brock’s record for the most wins in this discipline and with three races scheduled this weekend, the fight between Ford and Holden is sure to provide many more memorable moments. WEC: SEASON OPENERThe WEC (World Endurance Championship) is starting its fifth season and this year features an impressive eight races. The first event will take place in Ostersund, Sweden and as usual Motors will be there. Highlights will be featured on the ‘High Speed Television’ channel only a few days after the race.

The 2008 season kicks off at Nogaro with the French GT championship, which Motors TV will dedicate a special programme to each meeting, taking top billing. Other major disciplines include the Porsche Carrera Cup, Renault Clio Cup, Formula Renault, Formula Campus and Peugeot Cup. Highlights of each meeting will be screened on Motors TV just a few days after each weekend.
