GT Sport Announces Cancellation of Curitiba Race and Revised Calendar

Due to the difficulties of the some teams competing in the International GT Open to have cars and equipment available for the first race, scheduled in the Brazilian circuit of Curitiba, GT Sport has taken the decision to replace the first meeting of the 2008 season.

The main reason having led to this decision is the impossibility for a number of manufacturers to provide the new 2008 models before March, while the Brazilian race, scheduled at an early date (2nd of March) would have required shipment of cars and material end of January.

The calendar of the 2008 International GT Open, consequently, has been slightly revised. The season will start April 20 in Vallelunga (Italy) and will consist of the 8 meetings listed below.
