His 911GT3 Cup car will have a striking new livery that is sure to be an attention grabber."I'm delighted to be returning to the Carrera Cup with Red Line Racing, and I can’t wait to try out the new 420bhp Cup car," said Harvey. "We had a great season together in 2007 and came very close to the title. We know we can win it, but there are always some strong young racers coming into the Carrera Cup, so it’s never going to be easy. But I get a real buzz from racing against the young hotshots!" Harvey, the former BTCC champion, has an unrivalled record in the Carrera Cup. He has raced in the championship for the last four full seasons and raced the VIP car to victory during the inaugural Carrera Cup season of 2003. He has now contested 82 races and finished on the podium 56 times, scored 17 wins and set fastest lap 18 times. He has finished second, fourth, second and second in the championship over the last four seasons."Having a driver of Tim's class and experience in the team is good news for everyone at Red Line Racing," said team boss Simon Leonard. "He's a real team leader and is a great source of information and knowledge for all our drivers." Leonard expects to confirm the other drivers in his multi-car squad shortly.Harvey and Red Line Racing will start their programme in the opening Carrera Cup GB races at Brands Hatch on 29/30 March.
