Ex Lotus F1 driver Martin Donnelly will once again be racing a Lotus in the Elise Trophy in 2008. After successful outings in a class A Elise at Donington Park & Spa Francorchamps in 2007, this year he will be racing a class B 2-Eleven, and will be in action at the Lotus Celebration at Brand Hatch on 23-24 March.
The Lotus 2-Eleven, powered by a supercharged Toyota engine, is Lotus' latest model and is designed purely for the track. We're expect some fireworks towards the front of the grid with Donnelly at the wheel!
With over 60 drivers entered our first race meeting of the season at Brands Hatch on 23-24 March is going to be our biggest yet.
The Lotus Celebration will feature separate grids for class A (Production) and classes B/C (Modified/Super Modified), with 4 Elise Trophy races over the weekend.
Motors TV will once again be transmitting coverage (extended this year to include mainland Europe) of this year's Elise Trophy races.
