LAP RECORD FOR PAU WITHIN REACH
Sunny and dry weather for yesterday's second International Formula Master (IFM) free practice in Pau, France, saw lap times get tantalisingly close to the Series lap record on the street circuit.
Qualifying in 2008 saw reigning champion Chris van der Drift set the pole position lap in 1:11.179, whilst Jenzer Motorsport's Fabio Leimer recorded his best practice lap in 1:11.311 today.
ADM Motorsport's Earl Bamber followed with a quickest time of 1:12.158, ahead of team-mate Marcello Puglisi (1:12.205). Qualifying for the first 2009 IFM round will take place tomorrow morning, from 08:15 local time.
