HOME favourite Robert Mear raced to victory in the World Under-21 qualifier at Rye House on Sunday. Mear beat King's Lynn's Darcy Ward in a run-off for top spot - and Wolverhampton's Tai Woffinden, Lewis Bridger of Eastbourne and Coventry's Ricky Wells all qualified for the next round. Said Mear: This is the biggest moment of my career so far. It's the first thing I've won and it feels great."

KING'S Lynn are chasing their fourth Knockout Cup success in five seasons -starting this Wednesday. The Stars face Berwick in the first leg of their tie at the Norfolk Arena and manager Rob Lyons believes the border club will prove to be a tough test .He said: "I believe Berwick have the potential to come and really put us to the test, I can see it being a very close meeting."
