(SPEEDWAY 1) EASTBOURNE want Russian champion Denis Gizatullin in their side for June 20- or they will turn their attentions elsewhere.Gizatullin is being lined up to replace the injured David Norris, but theEagles have targeted another overseas signing if required.Promoter Bob Dugard said: "I've given Denis an ultimatum. We need to know inthe next two or three days whether he can ride on the 20th."

(SPEEDWAY 2) SCUNTHORPE will qualify for the semi-finals of the Premier Trophy if they can defeat Newport by at least seven points at home on Friday.And that would be the first time the club has ever advanced to the last fourof a national competition. Promoter Rob Godfrey said: "After years of being whipping boys in the 70s and 80s it is exciting, but we must not under-estimate Newport."
