THE ENTIRE SILVERSTONE CLASSIC – LIVE!Last year, the third edition of the Silverstone Classic saw it establish itself as one of the most important historic motorsport events on the international calendar. A popular success for the channel, Motors TV is proud to again be a partner of this prestigious event.
Therefore, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July are key dates for the diary to enjoy complete coverage of the 2009 Silverstone Classic: 20 hours of Live and Exclusive coverage of every race, a celebration of motorsport across the ages!
No less than 22 races are scheduled, bringing together 700 cars and 900 drivers! The cars on display come from a variety of eras, from ‘Edwardian’ racers (1903-13) to those made famous by the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) in the 1990s. Nearly a century of motor racing history!
Other not-to-be-missed categories include: Historic F1 as part of the Grand Prix Masters (for 1966-1978 Grand Prix cars) and the Historic Grand Prix Cars Association (pre- 1966), Group C, GTs and not forgetting the ‘themed’ races celebrating the history of Jaguar and Mini. Among the star drivers present will be Sir Stirling Moss, four times runner-up in the F1 World Championship and winner of 16 Grands Prix, while the legendary Murray Walker will also be back behind the microphone in the commentary box.
The Silverstone Classic – Live on Saturday 25 July between 8.55am and 9.20pm and Sunday 26 July between 8.55am and 6.20pm.
THE MX WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP VISITS SCANDINAVIA
As the exclusive live broadcaster of the MX World Championship, this July sees Motors TV bring live coverage of round 11 of the 2009 season from Uddevalla, Sweden. The Scandinavian round comes on the back of a relentless schedule including a race the previous weekend in Latvia.
Sweden hosts the best riders from the world of MX1 and MX2, not forgetting the sixth round of Women’s MX World Championship. As usual Motors TV invites you to enjoy a special MX-packed day with the live coverage beginning with the girls at 11am and continuing with every race from the MX1 and MX2 categories until 5pm.

V8 SUPERCARS + ALMS = GUARANTEED ACTIONTwo of Motors TV’s long standing and most popular series, V8 Supercars and the American Le Mans Series, both hold races in July.
First we head to Townsville for Round 6 of the V8 Supercars series. The second biggest city in the State of Queensland is new to the V8 calendar in 2009. All the drivers will therefore be new to the track, which is set partly in parkland and partly in the city streets. Both of the weekend’s scheduled races can be watched in full on the High Speed Television channel.
Meanwhile, in the States, the ALMS visits New York for Round 5 at Lime Rock Park. The shortest circuit of the season always plays host to exciting racing, especially as this is the first race since the Le Mans 24 Hours…

NO RESPITE IN THE WORLD SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIPThere’s no respite for the hectic World Superbike Championship calendar which visits the Czech circuit of Brno this month. A long, spectacular track, not doubt enjoyed by the leading riders such as Japanese rider Noriyuki Haga and American series debutant Ben Spies.
As usual, Motors TV brings in-depth highlights of both races from the Superbike and Supersport categories, as well as the European Superstock 1000 and 600 series, on the Thursday following the race weekend.
