MCL Motorhomes MSA British Hillclimb Championship - Rounds 25 & 26 - Craigantlet nr Belfast, 1st August
A second year of Ulster disaster for Martin Groves as he withdrew with engine trouble with Scott Moran and Trevor Willis each taking a win and second place. Moran is now 21 points ahead and with only four events left Groves needs success very soon if he is to stand a chance of a fourth MSA title in 2009 and there is also the pressure of Willis not too far behind.
Roger Moran was third in each run-off and Tom New fourth each time but his co-driver Chris Merrick spun out in qualifying for round 25 but did salvage a sixth in round 26..
