SBD Motorsport MSA British Sprint Championship - Rounds 9 & 10: Kames Motorsport Complex, 1/2 August
Two different course layouts, two differing weather conditions, same end result. The winner both days was defending champion Stewart Robb junior, setting a new track record each day, with his father Stewart as runner-up also breaking the existing record each day.
In the mixed conditions on Saturday fellow Scot Ross Napier managed third but dropped to 4th on the sunny Sunday. These positions were the mirror image of current leader Nick Algar who in doing so also set the fastest ever speed track speed on this compact Ayrshire circuit, in the Sunday event. Returnee Tom Potter in the smallest-engined car in the Top 12 Run Offs set a magnificent fifth & sixth in the two events.
