Team RAC will be looking for a strong challenge following a mixed meeting at Snetterton last week as the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship heads north of the border to Knockhill next Sunday (16 August).Colin Turkington still leads the Driver�s Championship by 17 points from current champion Fabrizio Giovannardi. Turkington was a student at the University of Sterling and will be hoping to come away from his old stomping ground with another strong points haul.Having secured a fantastic triple podium at Croft prior to the mid-season break, Stephen Jelley�s luck deserted him once more at Snetterton as unfortunate collisions in races two and three put paid to his challenge for the day. Knockhill provides the perfect opportunity for the Leicester-man to bounce back.Team RAC endured a frustrating weekend at Knockhill last year and Turkington and Jelley will hope to find the going a little easier this time around.Current Championship leader Turkington comments: �It was great to get the win in the last race at Snetterton and a big boost to my Championship challenge ahead of Knockhill.�The racing is always very close and hard fought. We had a disappointing weekend in Scotland last year but we�ve certainly made huge strides since then, and we should be up there challenging this time around.�Stephen Jelley said: �I�m very much looking forward to Knockhill as it�s a unique place and always an enjoyable weekend.�It�s a very undulating track and it�s important to use the curbs well. Hopefully I can build on the results from Croft and put the misfortune of Snetterton behind me.�WSR Team Principal Dick Bennetts said: �The Team RAC crew have been working as hard as ever this week, particularly on getting Stephen�s car race-ready following his unavoidable collision with Rob Collard at Snetterton. �Colin�s car is going through its normal rebuild programmed ahead of Knockhill, and we�re hoping for more success come Sunday.�Turkington has amassed 182 championship points after six rounds, while team-mate Stephen Jelley has 74 points. Team RAC currently lead the Independents Championship with 208 points.As part of the build-up to Knockhill, Turkington and Jelley will be joined by other stars from the BTCC in performing a high-speed show for the public during Edinburgh city centre's forthcoming Dunlop British Touring Car Festival on Thursday 13 August.
