V8 SUPERCAR CHAMPIONSHIP REACHING A CRESCENDO… The V8 Supercar Championship will conclude its 2009 season in Sydney at the beginning of December, but prior to that November has noless than three race meetings planned!

After the two big endurance events at Phillip Island and Bathurst, the drivers head to the Gold Coast to the circuit at Surfers Paradise for two races which always prove to be closely-fought, spectacular affairs.

The entire championship will then jump on a plane and head to the only meeting of the season to take place outside of Australasia, Bahrain, which will host the V8 Supercars for a third successive season. The month ends with the round at Barbagallo, a circuit not far from Perth and the only time the series visits the west coast of Australia.

The title race may see reigning champion Jamie Whincup fighting with Will Davison, but the duo’s respective team-mates, Craig Lowndes and Garth Tander, will also have a role to play. All three meetings will be particularly interesting due to the obligatory use of a new, softer tyre compound which is expected to produce wide differentials in performance. The question will be, how long will that rubber last before that performance dips?

V8 Supercars is screened exclusively on Motors TV in Europe with races shown in their entirety.
