FIA GT3 European Drivers Champion to Drive for Matech GT
at Paul Ricard Henri Moser, the young and very talented Swiss driver will be joining the Matech GT Racing team at the Paul Ricard round of the FIA GT Championship to drive the number 44 Ford GT1 race car."I’m absolutely pleased to be able to offer a chance to Henri to drive our 2010 specification Ford GT1 car in competitive circumstances at the demanding Paul Ricard track” – emphasized Martin Bartek, Team Owner and Principal. "Although Henri became only 21 this year, he has already won the FIA GT3 European Drivers Championship two years ago and keeps finishing on the podium in different championships, so I think he can be one of the strongest candidates for a driver’s seat next year in the FIA GT1 World Championship.”Henri Moser said: "I am really looking forward to drive the Ford GT at Paul Ricard with Matech GT Racing! The team is great and the car looks like it has got a great potential for next year’s FIA GT1 World Championship! I am also looking forward to drive with Thomas Mutsch, he is a really fast driver and has a lot of experience with the car. I know Martin for a long time, I had got to know him even before I started racing, so I am really happy to drive for his team!""No secret that as a Swiss team, we would like to participate in the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship with very competitive Swiss drivers, too. This is why I wanted to offer another chance to Jonathan Hirschi to drive for us, at this time in a Ford GT3” – pointed out Martin Bartek. "Jonathan has already proved in Budapest how good and promising he can be at the wheel of a Ford GT. At Paul-Ricard he will get the chance to gather even more experience by sharing the cockpit of a Ford GT3 car together with Eric de Doncker.”Jonathan Hirschi outlined: "At the Hungaroring I really enjoyed driving the Ford GT1 car and since then I was hoping for another chance to compete with a Ford GT again. That’s why I’m grateful to Martin for this opportunity and I’m convinced that we can form an effective and successful pair with Eric.”
