One-two lead for Audi R8 LMS in European Championship FIA GT3: Despite a serious accident Christopher Haase and Christopher Mies defended the lead of the standings in the FIA GT3 European Championship at Le Castellet (France). Like several other drivers, Mies became the victim of a sudden rain shower that resulted in the early end of the first race on the fourth lap. Mies suffered a concussion. The Audi R8 LMS of Team Phoenix Racing was so heavily damaged in the incident that the two Germans were not able to start anymore on Sunday. In the second race Nicolas Armindo and Cesar Campanico in the Audi R8 LMS of Team Rosberg clinched second place and thus gave Audi a one-two lead in the overall standings.

New US team banks on Audi R8 LMS  FIA GT3: During the European Championship round at Le Castellet a new private American race team was introduced that wants to contest the FIA GT3 European Championship and other select races with two Audi R8 LMS cars in 2010. The American businessman Zak Brown is the principal of the "United Autosports" team. 

Another podium result on the Nordschleife  VLN:Marc Basseng, Frank Biela and Hans-Joachim Stuck clinched another podium result for the Audi R8 LMS on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. At the eighth round of the BFGoodrich Endurance Championship, the trio from Team Phoenix Racing took third place overall. René Rast, Dennis Rostek and Nicki Thiim in the second R8 LMS of Team Phoenix Racing finished fifth despite a stop-and-go penalty. 

Second victory for R8 LMS in France

French GT Championship: Team Oreca clinched the second victory of the Audi R8 LMS in the French GT3 Championship at Le Castellet. In the first round Stéphane Ortelli and David Hallyday achieved a commanding win. In the second race they finished as the runners-up. 

Emanuele Pirro wins as wild card entrant  Cayman Cup: Running as a wild card entrant in the Italian Porsche Cayman Cup, Audi "factory" driver Emanuele Pirro claimed a dominant win at the penultimate race of the season at Vallelunga (Italy). In the finale at Misano on October 24/25 Pirro together with Dindo Capello will again compete in the Cayman Cup.
