Morning Time:         1'26"707 (P2)        1'27"187 (P4)

Afternoon Time:      1'27"087 (P4)        1'26"967 (P3)

Very positive first day of testing for Fat Burner Racing Engineering at the Circuito de Jerez de la Frontera, where Brazilian Diego Nunes and Spanish Roldán Rodríguez were at the wheel of the team's two cars.

Testing at the Spanish team's 'home track', both Nunes and Rodríguez showed a very good pace throughout the first day of GP2 tests to finish  within the top four during the morning and afternoon session. After adapting and familiarizing themselves with the Fat Burner Racing Engineering crew, both drivers worked on the day's program and quickly started to set very competitive times. The Spaniard finished the morning tests in second place whilst the Brazilian was fourth.

After their good showing in the morning, both drivers headed into the afternoon session with confidence to try and snatch P1 on the time sheets,  but their efforts were hampered towards the end of the session as a consequence of some slow cars on track and the fact that the test was red flagged on several occasions. Nevertheless, Nunes ended the day in third place, 0.048 seconds off the fastest man of the day, Jules Bianchi, and Rodríguez was fourth.

Fat Burner Racing Engineering will continue tomorrow with its 2010 preparations with Japanese Kamui Kobayashi and Estonian Sten Pentus.

Diego Nunes: We had a good test day, although the morning was not so great. We tested some different things on Roldán's and my car, but I was still quick and finished in 4th. In the afternoon we put everything together for the new set of tyres. We didn't do so many laps as we didn't have any new tyres left. We were close with Roldán and are both on top. It's a shame I did not finished first, but that was not the most important thing. We worked on getting to know each other and I think things went well. There were no problems or issues and it was a good test day.

Roldán Rodríguez: It has been a good day and I think we had a successful test. We worked well all day long, things turned out to be working just fine and we were also fast. I felt good with the team, everyone works well and they are very professional. I would have liked to be first on the time-sheets, of course, but I think even like this it was a very positive day. We know that in a test with many rookies you have many red flags and slow cars on track, but we know we could have been on top and this is what counts.

Alfonso de Orleáns-Borbón, Team Principal: Excellent job by the whole team. The drivers were very quick and I am satisfied to say they were a pleasure to work with.
