Trident Racing successfully completed all the scheduled work in the second and third day of GP2 Main Series testing at Jerez De La Frontera. The Italian squad fielded Filip Salaquarda and Stefano Coletti on Day 2, electing to use both sets of new tires in the AM segment. Stefano Coletti was heavily penalized by two red flags that interrupted both his attempts. The driver from Monaco impressed the team with his pace in the afternoon session, when he clocked the 11th lap using tires with more than 100km behind. Salaquarda continued in his approach to the GP2 Main Series Dallara-Renault racecar, establishing a good exchange with the team's staff and without committing mistakes.

In the final day, Filip flawlessly completed his testing program, while Edoardo Piscopo, expected to be back on-track, was not able to make it due to the consequences of his extremely hard yet faultless Day 1 crash. Fellow Italian driver and current Euroseries 3000 standing leader Fabio Onidi replaced him, on a day conditioned by tough weather.

In the morning segment, drivers were able to put slick tires on only in the final hour. Both Onidi and Salaquarda postponed their flying laps to the afternoon, but several interruptions marred any attempt to make a serious bid to the top, preventing them to complete a true flyer.

After completing the first collective test of the postseason, Trident Racing is looking forward to the first round of the 2008/2009 GP2 Asia Series. The Championship will start at Abu Dhabi, running together with Formula 1. The next Main Series test will be starting on November 10 at Paul Ricard, for another three days.
