Blue Peter Badges Made From Eco Friendly Racing Car Technology

Researchers at the University of Warwick will be appeared on the BBC's Blue Peter show on Tuesday 13th October to demonstrate their eco friendly "WorldFirstFormula 3 racing car" which can be powered by chocolate, steered by carrots, and has bodywork made partly from potatoes.

They surprised  the Blue Peter presenters with specially made high tech Blue Peter badges which use the same eco friendly materials as the racing car.Viewers saw the researchers give the presenters two high tech ecofriendly versions of Blue Peter Badges, one type made from carbon fibre recycled from old racing car parts, and another made from natural fibres(Flax) using the same processes used to produce natural fibre based body parts for the eco friendly racing car.

The presentation of the badges was particularly apt as this weekend (17th and18th October) the University of Warwick researchers will be racing their car at Brands Hatch and Brands Hatch is one of the places Blue Peter badgewinners can use their Blue Peter Badges and badge cards to get free entry to Brands Hatch.
