LOCAL hero Gary Havelock will play a big part in Dan Giffard's farewell meeting at Redcar this Thursday, October 22.Havelock is ruled out of racing with a back injury but will be team manager as the Bears face Elite League champions Wolverhampton.He said: "I've done the job once before - the year I crashed at Glasgow. We lost, so I am going to try to put that right!"

KING'S Lynn boss Rob Lyon insists his riders will have to be on top form to overturn a 20-point deficit against Edinburgh in the promotion play-off on Tuesday.He said: "Things didn't go to plan at Edinburgh and now we're going to have to raise our game."I know we can do it but every rider will have to be on top form as Edinburgh will come here full of confidence."
