SHEFFIELD favourite Paul Cooper has revealed how the freezing temperatures have delayed his pre-season preparations. The hugely popular York-based rider is raring to get back on a bike to step up his comeback after sitting out the last three months of the 2009 campaign.
"The freezing weather has meant I haven't been able to get back on the speedway bike which is frustrating for me because I feel physically fit now," he told 'The Green 'Un'."At the same time the long delay - it's five months since my injury - has reminded me how much I love riding speedway. There have been times when I thought perhaps I should pack it in, but once I agreed to ride for Sheffield again I was keen to get back racing."
