New in-house technical facility for Porsche Carrera Cup GB
The technical support service for the Porsche Carrera Cup GB is being taken in-house from the beginning of March as part of a significant expansion of the Motorsport Department of Porsche Cars GB.The new operation will be responsible for all parts and technical support for the Carrera Cup GB, as well as all engine and gearbox rebuilds. It will run from Porsche Cars GB headquarters at Reading and will attend all Carrera Cup GB race weekends and test sessions. The department will also provide technical support for the new Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge and is further demonstration of Porsche's on-going commitment to British motor sport."This is an important step for our Motorsport Department," said Andy Goss, MD of Porsche Cars GB. "We are investing in the infrastructure and personnel required to provide a first class service for all of our racing customers."The new facility will be operational from 1 March and will provide all the track support activities that the Carrera Cup GB teams have enjoyed since the championship was created in 2003.
