Celtic Speed confirms three-car Carrera Cup squad
Celtic Speed has confirmed that it will field a three-car team in the 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup GB, with Tommy Dreelan, Bob Lyons and George Brewster on the driving strength.The Montrose-based squad is headed by former racer Alan Keith and the team carries the honour of Scotland into the 20-race calendar. Irishman Dreelan has been based in Aberdeen for many years and will go into his second full season in the Carrera Cup contesting the pro-am1 category.Lyons, also from Aberdeen, will stay in the pro-am2 category, having challenged for the title last season. Edinburgh-based Brewster, who joined the Carrera Cup at Croft last summer, will also contest the pro-am2 category having claimed three pro-am2 victories in a limited programme in 2009. Both Dreelan and Brewster plan to take in all 10 race weekends, while Lyons will only miss the season opener at Thruxton due to holiday commitments."We're really looking forward to the season," said Dreelan. "I thoroughly enjoy racing in the Carrera Cup; it's good value for money and extremely professional yet it is still a very friendly paddock.""I'm pleased that we've got all three cars set for the season," said Keith. "We'll be out testing in March."
