Euronova Racing will be on the grid of the Auto GP maiden season. The team managed by Vincenzo Sospiri, who was looking with interest at the series from the time of its unveiling, has decided to make its commitment official and will then field two cars.

For Euronova it’s a comeback to the roots as the team was founded in 2001 in order to create a growth programme for young talents. The highest step of that programme was a powerful and difficult car, the F3000. Now that Formula 3000 isn’t racing anymore, Euronova decided to choose Auto GP knowing that the 550 bhp Lola-Zytek is even faster and more powerful, an ideal car to prepare the young guns for their journey through the higher levels of motorsport.

As a warrantee for a top-notch job, the drivers will have Enzo Sospiri’s support, the Italian being one of the most experienced managers in motorsport: as a driver, he clinched the International F3000 in 1995 and even arrived in F.1 with the Lola project. As a manager he showed a great nose for talent, launching drivers like Luca Filippi, Jerome D’Ambrosio and Vitaly Petrov, who recently secured a prestigious F.1 seat with Renault.
