(SPEEDWAY 1)WOLVERHAMPTON’S Swedish Grand Prix star Freddie Lindgren has added his name to the impressive line-up for the Ben Fund Bonanza at Rye House on March 14.Lindgren, the Elite League’s top rider last season, is only too happy to lend his support to the Speedway Riders’ Benevolent Fund.He said: “I think it’s a really good cause – it’s a dangerous sport and if we can raise some money for the riders who have been injured that is a great thing to do I think.“I was at Rye House two years ago for the Chris Neath Testimonial, that’s the only time so I don’t know that much about the track. “It will be my first meeting of the season so it will be interesting!”(SPEEDWAY 2)PREMIER League rivals Newcastle and Berwick have joined forces to offer reduced admission to season ticket holders for the launch of the new season.Fans attending the Tyne-Tweed Trophy over the weekend of March 20/21 will be offered £2 off admission on production of their season ticket at the away track.Newcastle’s Daryl Illingworth said: “It’s exactly the sort of joint venture clubs should be getting involved with to give their fans the best deal even at away tracks.“We hope to extend this scheme to other local meetings and hopefully involve a lot more clubs too.
