sThe drinks brand Monster has stepped up its motorsport sponsorship portfolio by announcing it is to become the title sponsor for the Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) Race.

For the first time in the prestigious motorcycle race’s hundred year history, the event will be named after a sponsor, and will be known as the ‘Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy.’

As well as sponsoring MotoGP superstar Valentino Rossi, Monster Energy have the title naming rights to the French MotoGP event at Le Mans for the next two seasons and the Yamaha’s Tech 3 satellite team.

The Isle of Man TT was first held in 1907 and runs annually in a time-trial format on closed public roads.
