Round 3: Matthews Auto Salvage Car Trial, 17th April

Rupert North drove superbly to win the Matthews Auto Salvage Car Trial on Saturday, making good use of his nimble Mini to dominate throughout. Dave Oliver proved his closest challenger, while Duncan Stephens and Neil Mackay tied for second place in North’s category. Exceptionally dry conditions aided smaller cars, with Rupert North performing superbly to finish third at the wheel of  his little Mini. The new car class went down to the last hill with Dave Thomas beating Derek Barnes by five marks, while Kevin Roberts inherited the modified car class aboard his Peugeot 106 rally car.
