Rockstar Makita Suzuki's Josh Creamer piloted his QuadRacer R450 to his first overall 2010 AMA ATV Championship victory of the season at the second round at Ballance Moto X in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Creamer, who placed second and first in the two motos was joined by team mate and reigning Champion Dustin Wimmer on the podium who he now closed the series lead gap on to just four points.
Said Creamer:" My Rockstar Makita Suzuki was running great! The track was pretty choppy but the suspension was working really well; soaking up the bumps and letting me focus on my lines. It always went right where I wanted it to go!"
Creamer got off to a fast start in his first moto, with his QuadRacer R450 towards the front of the pack. "I was pretty quick off the line and came really close to taking the holeshot in that first moto," commented Creamer.
Not satisfied with his second-place finish, he rocketed off the line in the second moto, grabbing the holeshot and leading the whole race. His combined scores earned him his first win of the season and his first win with the Rockstar Makita Suzuki team and puts him on 84 points - just four behind series leader Wimmer.
Wimmer earned second place overall, finishing 6-3 in his respective motos. "My QuadRacer handled really well out there," said Wimmer. "It had great power and consistency and I couldn't be more pleased with the bike." Wimmer is looking forward to the next round at Birch Creek in Danville, Virginia on May 2, where he hopes to be back on top of the podium.
