MSA Gravel Rally Championship

Round 2: Pirelli Tour of Cumbria, 23rd-24th AprilFormer British Rally Champion Jonny Milner secured his first victory since 2004 in round two of the MSA Gravel Rally Championship, the Pirelli Tour of Cumbria. "At last I've won this rally and it's been a long time but the feeling is still good,” said Milner. “The car has been faultless all day and Ian has done a great job on the notes.  It's good to be leading the Championship and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series."Milner was never headed en route to victory in the dry and dusty Kielder Forest, having been quickest out of the blocks on SS1. Early pressure was applied by Roger Duckworth, whose challenge ended with an off on the penultimate stage. That left Stephen Petch to claim the runner-up spot, having fended off Charlie Payne in a rally-long duel.Results1 Jonny Milner / Ian Windress (Toyota Corolla WRC) 1:04:37.62 Stephen Petch / John Richardson (Hyundai Accent WRC) 1:05:45.83 Charlie Payne / Craig Thorley (Ford Focus WRC06) 1:06:29.14 Kevin Rowledge / Paul Whittaker (Mitsubishi Evo 9) 1:17:01.95 Matthew Robinson / Darren Brown (Ford Escort Mk2) 1:22:59.56 Darren Martin / Martin Steele (Subaru Impreza) 1:28:38.6Championship positions (provisional) after Round 2 1 Jonny Milner - 43 points2 Stephen Petch - 393 Charlie Payne - 274 Marcus Dodd - 255 Steve Perez - 226 Roger Duckworth - 21
