Lindback Goes Wild‏ for Dig Deep Streetwear Swedish Speedway

Sweden’s Antonio Lindback has been announced as the wild card for the FIM Dig Deep Streetwear Swedish Speedway Grand Prix on 08 May.

Lindback, who finished third in last year’s Swedish SGP at Ullevi stadium, Gothenburg, will be joined by track reserves Simon Gustafsson (no.17) and Dennis Andersson (no.18).

Ullevi stadium is where Lindback, who turns 25 three days prior to the GP, made his world championship debut back in 2004 before participating in the Series as a permanent rider from 2005 to 2007. Following a two year break from the sport, the Brazillian-born Swede returned to racing last year and will be looking to build on his 2009 performances.

Should Simon Gustafsson (19) take to the track on 08 May, he will make Grand Prix history as the first son of a former SGP rider to ride in an event. His father, Henrik, participated in 40 GPs between 1995 and 2001 and is remembered as one of the great characters of the sport.

Meanwhile, the highly rated Dennis Andersson (19) currently rides alongside Danish star Nicki Pedersen at Swedish club Lejonen and defending world champion Jason Crump at Polish side Wroclaw.
