(SPEEDWAY 1) WOLVERHAMPTON pulled off a thrilling 50-43 Elite League Speedway win over title favourites Poole at Monmore Green.Grand Prix star Freddie Lindgren was in inspirational form with a 13+1 haul in a thrilling meeting which gave the big crowd plenty to enjoy.Said Wolves hero Lindgren: "It was a hard fought meeting and we had to show a lot of character with plenty of determination. We pulled through and got our best result of the season."

(SPEEDWAY 2) JAMES Wright scored his first Elite League maximum as Belle Vue raced to a57-38 home victory over Lakeside to take second place in the table.He was unbeaten by a visiting rider in four races and also took full points from his three outings with new captain, Danish World Cup star Hans Andersen. Wright, who scored nine plus three bonus points, said: "It's great to have my first Elite League maximum. I've waited long enough for it. I'm really enjoying my partnership with Hans. He is such a classy rider."
