Facu Regalia left the last Formula BMW Europe test session of the winter pleased with the development of his car and expects to be among the fastest in the first race of the year, held at Circuit de Catalunya in less than two weeks.
This week's test was different from the previous, as the drivers had just one day at the track. However, the Spanish-Argentinean driver was able to evolve his single-seater.
Regalia ended the test with a good feeling, mainly with the Eifelland Racing car’s set-up. “With old tires we had some problems with the front end, but, when we put on the car new rubber, we made some modifications in the Mygale that worked very well, something that makes me very pleased”, explained the eighteen years old driver.
At the end of the day, the Spanish-Argentinean youngster said: “the lap times were meaningless. There was so much traffic on track, something that made very hard to get a clear lap. When I was on new tires I found many cars in my flying lap and I had to overtake them, something that cost me a second. However, I made a lap time similar to my teammate, Come Ledogar”.
The next time that Facu Regalia will be in his car, it will be at Circuit de Catalunya, where will be held the first meeting of the season, at May 7th, 8th and 9th. The Spanish-Argentinean looks to the first weekend of the year with a ”deep confidence and motivation, as I feel we can be among the fastest drivers”.
