Podium and Points for Double R at Silverstone

Daisuke Nakajima continued his good form from the recent test day on the new Silverstone "Arena" Grand prix Circuit with astrong third place Podium finish in race 1. Despite warnings of wet weather the race ran on a drytrack and following a restartdue to a large startline accident Daisuke made a good start and had a strong opening lap overtaking Championship leader Jean-Eric Vergne to establish himself in third place behind James Colado and Oliver Webb. Taking care to manage his tyres over the race distance he stayed in a strong third place throughout the 14 laps and finished close behind the leaders. Carlos Huertas drove a strong consistant race to finish in the points in 5th place having qualified 7th in a "traffic" blighted qualifying session where he could not piece together a clear lap.      Teamate Felipe Nasr had a race to forget - or rather he did'nt! At the start of the Green flag lap from the grid he stalled the engine and whilst trying to restart was hit from behind by a car that had started six rows further back despite the usual fantastic work by the Silverstone Marshals who waved Yellow warning flags to signal Felipe's stationary car. Following what had been his most impressive qualifying session in his short F3 history that had secured a second row start slot the car was badly damaged from the 70mph impact and the subsequent damage when the car landed back on the track. The race start was aborted and the Raikkonen Robertson team now face along night to repair the car for two races on Sunday.
