Ferrari plan to trim 2010 staff levels
Even uber brand Ferrari seem to be affected by the economic malaise - as they plan to trim 9% of their work force - according an article by Bloomberg.
It is reported that the company wish to cut 120 office positions and 150 factory jobs in exchange for the last payment of a 2009 bonus due last month.
Ferrari employ approximately 3000 workers - apparently production targets for this year are being revised down to 11,000 cars from 20,000, CGIL union’s Fiorani said.
A Ferrari spokesman suggested that the reduced number of Maserati engines ordered this year had been a contributory factor - presumably meaning that not many maser's are flying out the door at the moment...
