(SPEEDWAY 1)TITLE favourites Poole booked their place in the Elite League Grand Final with a 53-41 win over reigning champions Wolverhampton.The Pirates made a storming start to the meeting with a series of race advantages, with Chris Holder and Darcy Ward combining for three 5-1s and Bjarne Pedersen winning his first four rides.Wolves fought back late on with Freddie Lindgren winning three of the last five races, and Adam Skornicki also showed up well for the Monmore men, who now turn their attentions to the Knockout Cup.Pedersen said: "It was a team effort as it has been all season. I was on a new engine and it went well for me tonight. Now we need to focus on Coventry and that promises to be a tough ask."Lindgren added: "I must pay credit to Poole, they should go on and win the title because they've been the best team all season."
(SPEEDWAY 2)COVENTRY will face Poole in the Elite League Grand Final after winning the second leg of their semi-final at Peterborough 49-44.The Bees led by 14 points going into the meeting and never looked like losing their grip on the tie from the moment Krzysztof Kasprzak broke the track record in the first race.With Panthers No.1 Kenneth Bjerre enduring a nightmare meeting, the Bees - who lost their first seven Elite League matches this season - had booked their place in the Final with four heats to go, skipper Chris Harris top scoring with 13 points.Manager Alun Rossiter said: "It was an ultra-professional performance from our boys and I'm so pleased with the way we rode."We weren't bothered with whether the track was grippy or slick, we just got on with it and we have a strong unit now from one to seven."We've just got to go out and enjoy the Final now.
