(SPEEDWAY 1)EASTBOURNE have booked club asset Lewis Bridger to guest in both legs of their Knockout Cup semi-final against Wolverhampton.Bridger, who has just won the Elite League title with Coventry, comes in at reserve for his parent club in place of the injured Lukas Dryml. And owner Bob Dugard is hoping for a big turn-out of Eagles fans for the home leg on Sunday afternoon as the club hope to return to regular weekend racing next year.Dugard said: "Next season we have seven or eight Saturdays we can use without clashing with international meetings. Other tracks are happy with us using Fridays for our other home fixtures. "We hoped for a Saturday before the end of this season to see how things went but we couldn't because of the GP this weekend and the Elite League Riders championship. We settled on a Sunday afternoon and now I need to see whether we can still draw 1,200 or 1,300 people to a big meeting."(SPEEDWAY 2)

GLASGOW co-promoter Stewart Dickson is hoping his side can overcome several injury setbacks and finish a difficult season on a high. They complete their Premier League campaign against Sheffield on Sunday with Joe Screen and Lee Dicken both having admitted defeat in their attempts to race again this season - whilst fellow reserve Jake Anderson is also unavailable.Dickson said: "It really is a case of going out and racing without too much pressure on them as there is no great expectation in this one.  "Obviously the loss of these three riders is a great blow and it is almost impossible to cover for them so there is a greater expectation on the remaining four riders but all I want is for them to go out and race with spirit and see how well they can go.  "Sheffield have proved what a good side they are as they are into the Premier League Play Off final after defeating the champions."  (FIXTURES) FRIDAY OCTOBER 8:YOUNG SHIELD Q/F 2nd leg: Newport v Berwick 7.30, Somerset v Scunthorpe 7.30 NATIONAL LEAGUE KO CUP S/F 2nd leg: King's Lynn v Newport 7.30 SCOTTISH CUP 2nd leg: Edinburgh v Glasgow 7.30 ROB WOFFINDEN MEMORIAL TROPHY: Scunthorpe 7.30CHALLENGE: Plymouth v USA Touring Team 7.30SATURDAY OCTOBER 9:PREMIER LEAGUE: Stoke v Newport 7.30CHALLENGE: Weymouth v USA Touring Team 7.15 SUNDAY OCTOBER 10:ELITE LEAGUE KO CUP S/F 1st leg: Eastbourne v Wolverhampton 5pm PREMIER LEAGUE PLAY-OFF S/F 2nd leg: Newcastle v Birmingham 5.30 PREMIER LEAGUE KO CUP S/F 1st leg: Newcastle v Birmingham (follows play-offfixture)PREMIER LEAGUE: Glasgow v Sheffield 4pmYOUNG SHIELD Q/F 2nd leg: Rye House v King's Lynn 2pm, Workington v Stoke 7pm NATIONAL LEAGUE KO CUP S/F 2nd leg: Buxton v Dudley 3pm, Newport v King's Lynn 2.30MONDAY OCTOBER 11:ELITE LEAGUE KO CUP S/F 2nd leg: Wolverhampton v Eastbourne 7.30, 1st leg:Peterborough v Poole 7.30SKY SPORTS ELITE LEAGUE: Wolverhampton v Swindon (Follows KOC fixture)CHALLENGE: Belle Vue v USA Touring Team 7.30
