A record-breaking crowd of 42,000 fans witnessed the final round the 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Brands Hatch on Sunday (10 October) as the 20th race of the season followed immediately after the race that decided the BTCC title.The crowd, a record for a BTCC meeting at a MotorSport Vision group circuit, was treated to a day of spectacular race action as the BTCC and its support programme wrapped up in style.As well as a huge live audience, the action was also watched live on ITV4 by hundreds of thousands and the Carrera Cup enjoyed extensive coverage during the specially extended seven and a half hour BTCC show that ran right through Sunday.While the 20th and final Carrera Cup race of the season went out live directly after the decisive BTCC race, Saturday's Carrera Cup race also benefited from excellent TV coverage. Substantial highlights of the race were screened on ITV4 during the lunch break in Sunday's racing.Round 19 on Saturday afternoon was also broadcast live on itv.com as, for the first time ever, BTCC qualifying was broadcast live on the web and that coverage was extended to cover the penultimate race of the Carrera Cup GB season.
