British Masters sensation Scott Elderfield is the latest top rider to add his name to the entry list for the 2010 RHL Weston Beach Race which takes place this weekend, 15th - 17th October, at Weston-Super-Mare. Elderfield who won the MX1 and MX2 Masters Championships this year is eagerly looking forward to racing at the fantastic RHL Beach Race event.2007 was the first time that Scott competed in the Beach Race and won the 85cc class, even though it has been a mixed season for the youngster he has ended the season on a high note and is eager to get a strong result at the Beach Race. He said "I went back to PAR as a last minute decision at the start of the year and the year has turned out well for me, I've had some good results and really looking forward to my new plans for 2011. I can't wait to get to the Beach Race and try and get a good result, I know it's always good fun but you always want to come away from there having finished high up."As well as the fantastic rider line up the Royal Air Force will again be displaying at the Weston Beach Race 2010 after the interest shown in their involvement in 2009. This year the RAF Careers team will be bringing a life size model of a Typhoon Fast Jet cockpit and a team from the Tornado Maintenance School at RAF Marham will be on hand to show off weapons, missiles and other exciting equipment used on the ground attack aircraft. The display is not only a vehicle by which members of the general public can gain a greater understanding of what the RAF do, but it is an opportunity to look at the many careers available within the service especially within the engineering and technical fields. A number of the riders at the Beach Race will be from the RAF Moto X team who participate in events all over the country. It demonstrates the multitude of activities and hobbies that are available to RAF Personnel where the ethos is very much "work hard, play hard".With many participants and spectators alike being engineering minded, the RAF careers team will be on hand to offer any advice or guidance o0r simply to have a general chat. However, If you would just like to have a seat in a life size fast jet cockpit, then this is equally fine! The RAF wish all riders an enjoyable and safe Beach race 2010.
