Supercross - Church, Faccioti Medaglia in for Belfast

The weather outside may have cooled off and dampened outdoor activities but things could not be much hotter in the indoor world of Supercross. With round one of the 14th annual Future West ACU British Supercross Championship just around the corner the intensity and mercury levels are reaching record highs in anticipation of the opening round at the Belfast Odyssey Arena on Saturday October 23rd. Arguably the best ever line-up of British stars and a good mix of US, Canadian, South African and Scandinavian riders has been assembled for this year's series and the first ever round of the series in Belfast. The latest star riders to confirm are CCM's Tom Church and SX1 and SX2 defending champ Colton Facciotti from Canada. Church will be contesting the whole British Supercross Championship with the Dave Thorpe CCM prepared 450cc in the SX1 and British Open Championships. Two time Canadian MX1 champion Facciotti was forced to miss the final rounds of the Canadian Motocross Championships whilst leading points after a nasty crash at round 5 of 8 which finished his chances of three consecutive Canadian championships. Colton has recently been given the go ahead to return to competition and is excited to defend his British titles. Joining Colton on his flight from Canada will be his Blackfoot Yamaha teammate Tyler Medaglia who won the Canadian Motocross Championships MX2 title this year.
