Round 10: Mercian Trial, 24 October MSA British Sporting Trial Championship leader Ian Wright won a hard-fought Mercian Trial amid glorious weather. Wright edged out Julian Fack, who suffered an antiroll bar breakage on the last hill, and Ian Veale, who beat Roland Uglow on a tie break. The other main Championship contender, Ian Bell, finished in fifth spot.Meanwhile Paul Faulkner was sixth overall, winning the Intermediate class from Monty Peters, who piloted the leading live axle car.
