Hankook MSA Northern Ireland Stage Rally Championship

Round 9: F&M Contracts Down Rally, 23 OctoberStuart Biggerstaff sealed the Hankook MSA Northern Ireland Stage Rally Championship title with fifth place on the Down Rally, which was won by Kenny McKinstry. McKinstry set scratch times on all eight stages, leaving Connor McCloskey to battle with Mark Donnelly, Colin Britton and Pat O’Connell for the remaining podium positions. O’Connell retired on SS4, while Donnelly’s title chances were wrecked when a fuel pump relay worked loose. Britton eventually took second with 2008 Champion McCloskey third.Meanwhile fifth overall was enough to guarantee the Championship crown for Biggerstaff, who overcame a blown turbo to triumph. Results
