POOLE'S Artur Mroczka has been ruled out of the second leg of the Knockout Cup Final following a crash at Eastbourne last weekend. The Pirates will use the rider-replacement facility to cover for the Pole's absence as they bid to overturn an eight-point first leg deficit in Wednesday's clash at Wimborne Road.Promoter Matt Ford said: "Artur's fall was a big crash and although he was able to take his final compulsory ride in the meeting he was not 100%, but we all believed that after a day or so rest he would be suitably recovered and refreshed to be able to ride on Wednesday. "But he continued to feel 'not quite right' so we had him checked over and the medics have advised that, as he was continuing to appear 'vague' and likely to be suffering the ill effects of the knock to the head, he doesn't risk the safety of himself or other riders. "It is a blow to us and to Artur as he was keen to sign off the season with a big performance."(SPEEDWAY 2)IPSWICH have received good news on the injury front ahead of the second leg of their promotion/relegation showdown with Newcastle. Both Chris Slabon and Robert Miskowiak had to pull out of the first leg following crashes, with the Witches edging to a narrow 46-44 win, but both have been declared fit for Thursday's return at Foxhall - although reserve Kozza Smith is ruled out due to appendicitis. The Diamonds are forced into changes due to an injury crisis of their own, with Stuart Robson, Chris Mills and Simon Lambert all booked to stand-in.Ipswich boss Pete Simmons said: "Newcastle have two of the best youngsters in World speedway in Kenni Larsen and Rene Bach who was outstanding in the Under 21 World Cup Final. "The choice of Stuart Robson as a guest has also been an astute move. We will have to be on our mettle on Thursday. This meeting is a potential banana skin."(FIXTURES)WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 27:ELITE LEAGUE KO CUP FINAL 2nd leg: Poole v Eastbourne 7.30 NATIONAL LEAGUE KO CUP FINAL: King's Lynn v Buxton 7.30 NATIONAL LEAGUE: King's Lynn v Buxton (follows previous fixture)THURSDAY OCTOBER 28:PROMOTION/RELEGATION RACE OFF 2nd leg: Ipswich v Newcastle 7.30 FRIDAY OCTOBER 29:PREMIER LEAGUE KO CUP FINAL 1st leg: Edinburgh v Newcastle 7.30 NATIONAL LEAGUE GRAND FINAL 1st leg: Newport v Buxton 7.30SATURDAY OCTOBER 30:YOUNG SHIELD FINAL 2nd leg: Workington v Rye House 7pm NATIONAL LEAGUE RIDERS' CHAMPIONSHIP: Rye House 7pmSUNDAY OCTOBER 31:PREMIER LEAGUE KO CUP FINAL 2nd leg: Newcastle v Edinburgh 6.30 NATIONAL LEAGUE GRAND FINAL 2nd leg: Buxton v Newport 3pm
