BELLE Vue star Ulrich Ostergaard has suffered a set back in his bid to be fitfor the 2011 season. The popular Dane suffered a double leg fracture in a crash at Coventry on August 30 and has now been told he requires further surgery to repair damage to his anterior cruciate ligament, which will take place after the pins are removed from the fractures.Ostergaard, who was on loan to the Aces from Peterborough, said: "Things were already going a bit slowly after the first operation to put the pins into my leg."It was not what I needed to be told, and it is really bad news. I definitely want to come back to race in England in 2011 but I am not sure yet where and when that will be."

GLASGOW co-promoter Stewart Dickson has praised the efforts of Travis McGowan after the Australian collected the club's major awards for the 2010 campaign. It was McGowan's first season in the Premier League, but Dickson accepts the rider is unlikely to be back in Tigers' colours next year.He said: "Travis has proved to be one of the best riders around and it was well worth bringing him into the Premier League. I have got absolutely nothing bad to say about him at all in his time at the club."It is clear that he wants to see what else he can do to fill his speedway week, and that may include riding in Poland. We accept that is the case and we are building our side assuming he is not involved, but if in the future Travis decides to race again with a Sunday track then we would be most interested in taking him back."
