Victory and title for the R8 LMS in BelgiumBelcar: For Anthony Kumpen and Greg Franchi third place at the wheel of the W-Racing team’s Audi R8 LMS was sufficient to clinch the Belcar series championship at the season finale at Zolder. For the sixth race of the season they were supported by Swiss driver Marcel Fässler who took pole position in qualifying. Furthermore, the Audi R8 LMS celebrated its second consecutive title victory in Belgium. Victory in the wet and rainy ten-hour race which was plagued with extremely difficult track conditions went to the Belgians François Verbist and Bert Longin also from the W-Racing team. Team NovaDriver Total achieve the doubleGT3 Portugal: João Figueiredo and César Campaniço in their Audi R8 LMS are the 2010 season Portuguese GT3 Champions. At the sixth and final race weekend in Portimão they crowned their season with a fabulous double victory. For the Audi R8 LMS it is already the seventh championship title since the project began. The two drivers representing team NovaDriver were also able to win the 2010 Spanish GT Championship and are therefore the most successful team in an Audi R8 LMS this season. The five-time Le Mans winner piloted an Audi R8 LMS together with two journalists and the Boss of Slotracing-Werk to a dominant victory.
